Ethos: Obama Thinks Gay People Should Likewise Share Equal Rights .
Pathos: Seeing Gay People Or Having A Child Grow Up In A Society Where The Majority Of His Or Her Surroundings Are With Homosexuals What Is Left For The Child To Grow Up Thinking Or Assuming His Or Her Sexual Orientation Should Be .
Logos: There Will Be In Increasing Percent Of Society That Will Be Homosexual
Ethos: I Agree Obama Did Say That & I Agree it Should be An Equal right.
Pathos: Typically i seen a lot of gay people and many kids raised by gay parents are not homosexual some people like being gay just like you have a right to cut your hair as you please don't mean you wanna be a man it just how you feel about what you wanna do. Gay people isn't the best idea but you really cant judge you about any choices you make. gay people is not different then straight peoples.
Logos: No it will not be increasing of percent cause you will have never knew if a person was already gay rights and now that their is a right to be not judge then it will look like that but you cant just believe from what you think you know totally DISAGREE and IM NOT GAY
I am against gay marriage. Pathos: I am against it because why would you force your way into something that does not what you. It just seems like they are doing that to piss people off just create your own thing leave the Catholics alone. Ethos: The Church says that it is an abomination if a man should lie with another man and it is evil. Logos:i am against it because of the writer of this and he/she wrote this"The debate over whether the state ought to recognize gay marriages has thus far focused on the issue as one of civil rights. Such a treatment is erroneous because state recognition of marriage is not a universal right. States regulate marriage in many ways besides denying men the right to marry men, and women the right to marry women. Roughly half of all states prohibit first cousins from marrying, and all prohibit marriage of closer blood relatives, even if the individuals being married are sterile. In all states, it is illegal to attempt to marry more than one person, or even to pass off more than one person as one's spouse. Some states restrict the marriage of people suffering from syphilis or other venereal diseases. Homosexuals, therefore, are not the only people to be denied the right to marry the person of their choosing.
I do not claim that all of these other types of couples restricted from marrying are equivalent to homosexual couples. I only bring them up to illustrate that marriage is heavily regulated, and for good reason. When a state recognizes a marriage, it bestows upon the couple certain benefits which are costly to both the state and other individuals. Collecting a deceased spouse's social security, claiming an extra tax exemption for a spouse, and having the right to be covered under a spouse's health insurance policy are just a few examples of the costly benefits associated with marriage. In a sense, a married couple receives a subsidy. Why? Because a marriage between to unrelated heterosexuals is likely to result in a family with children, and propagation of society is a compelling state interest. For this reason, states have, in varying degrees, restricted from marriage couples unlikely to produce children."
PATHOS - You my dear friend, are a hater. ETHOS - 12 states legalized gay marriage so far. LOGOS - A) Same-Sex Marriage is Already a Reality, Regardless of Whether the Government Chooses to Acknowledge It
From the colonial era until the Supreme Court's decision in Lawrence v. Texas (2003), same-sex relations were illegal in (initially) all or (later) most of the United States. Shortly after the Lawrence decision, Late Night with Conan O'Brien aired a satirical clip in which actors portraying a flamboyantly gay couple expressed their delight at finally being able to have sexual relations, since they had lived in total celibacy out of fear of breaking the law. And it was a valid point: Sodomy (or "unnatural intercourse") laws were flouted long before they were ever officially struck from the books.
Pathos- Everyone has the right as a person to love anyone or anything they please.
Ethos- President Barack Obama stated that he thinks same sex couples should be able to get maried.
Logos-Gay marriage is protected by the Constitution's commitments to liberty and equality. The US Supreme Court declared in 1974’s Cleveland Board of Education v. LaFleur that the "freedom of personal choice in matters of marriage and family life is one of the liberties protected by the Due Process Clause.”
Pathos:I disagree with this because people should marry whomever their in love with,it doesnt matter whether their gay, straight,or bisexual marriage is based on love and who you want to spend the rest of your life with happily.
Logos:the state should recognize gay marrige rights just as they do on men and women marriage rights
Ethos:I disagree with the speaker saying that "The Church says that it is an abomination if a man should lie with another man and it is evil." Because the church may say many things about us the people but we the people dont go by everything it is said in the church or bible
Ethos - Obama is allowing gay marriage in any state that approves it, if the president of our country believes same sex could marry and be happy, everyone should realize there's nothing wrong with it and legalize it.
Pathos - I believe that if two people love each other they should have the right to express it through marriage.
Pathos: Right and just because someone gay don't mean they wont love the same as a man and women couple.
Logos: Yup why should people feel other country allow gay marriage that NY cant and they have to travel around the world just to feel better about their sex love life
